The embassy of Kingdom of Morocco in Washington, DC is pleased to announce the implementation of streamlined appointment system, available at:

This system has been introduced to improve conditions reception and optimize the efficiency of consular services. Appointments are mandatory for all consular services. We encourage all the members of the Moroccan Community to use the appointment System for a more organized and convenient experience.
Upon arrival, individuals must present their confirmation page to the agent at the front desk.
N.B: Appointments are not mandatory for pick up (Moroccan ID, Passport, notary acts, requests for body repatriation…)

Consular services
Consular registration is a mandatory process to obtain any consular service
1- Consular registration
- Registration form; (download and fill the form)
- Moroccan ID and Passport;
- Green card or other proof of legal residence;
- Proof of residence;
- A birth certificate less than six months for minors;
- Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians;
2- Electronic Identity National Card (CNIE)
- For the first time:
- Consular Registration;
- Birth Certificate in Arabic and French less than 6 months;
- Green card or other proof of legal residence,
- Two recent identity photographs on a light background, with the format 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, the face uncovered and without dark glasses;
- Renewal of the CNIE
- Consular registration
- Two recent photographs;
- Restitution of the expired CNIE;
- Note: To renew the non-electronic national card, an extract and integral copy of birth certificate in Arabic and French less than 6 months are mandatory
- In case of change of address:
- Consular registration;
- Recent proof of address;
- Two recent identity photographs;
- Restitution of the original CNIE.
- In case of loss, deterioration, or theft of the CNIE:
- Consular registration;
- A copy of the lost ID (or passport and birth certificate)
- Two recent identity photographs
- In case of modification of name, date of birth etc.:
- Consular registration;
- Two recent identity photographs;
- Restitution of the original CNIE
- Legal documents justifying the modifications;
- An extract and integral copy of birth certificate.
- Anthropometric Record
- Moroccan ID;
- Minors and people under guardianship must be accompanied by their father, mother or legal guardian with their identity card.
3- Biometric Passport
- For adults
- Consular registration;
- A valid CNIE (If expired, a copy of the CNIE receipt).
- Proof of residence (Green card, Student Visa, Work permit, American ID, etc.);
- Two recent passport photographs on white or light blue background;
- In case of renewal, the old passport must be presented.
- For minors aged between 12 and 18 years: (Minors must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians)
- Consular registration;
- Valid CNIE or a copy of the CNIE receipt;
- Two recent passport photographs on white or light blue background;
- The expired passport must be presented.
- For minors less than 12 years:
- Consular registration;
- An extract or integral copy of the birth certificate in Arabic and Frenc less than 6 months.
- Two recent passport photographs on white or light blue background;
- Parental authorization;
- The expired passport must be presented.
- Travel document (laissez-passer)
- Any original document that proves the Moroccan nationality (ID or old passport);
- Minors under the age of 18 years who do not have an ID must provide a birth certificate, and be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians with their ID or passport;
- Two recent passport photographs on white or light blue background;
- Declaration of the lost, stolen or deteriorated passport, if this is the case;
4- Civil status
Child registration
- 1- Child born to a Moroccan father
- Declaration form (download and fill the form)
- Moroccan family book;
- American birth certificate of the child;
- Moroccan ID of father and mother;
- Marriage certificate.
- 2 - Child born to a Moroccan mother and a foreign father:
- Declaration form (download and fill the form)
- Nationality certificate of a child born before 2 April 2007;
- American birth certificate of the child;
- CNIE of the mother;
- Moroccan birth certificate of the mother;
- Marriage certificate;
- Father’s birth certificate;
- Father’s ID.
- 3- Child born to a single mother:
- Declaration form (download and fill the form)
- American birth certificate of the child;
- Integral copy of the mother's birth certificate;
- CNIE of the mother;
- Death registration
- Declaration form (download and fill the form)
- American death certificate of the deceased,
- Moroccan family book;
- Moroccan passport and ID of the deceased;
- Marriage certificate if the deceased was married;
- ID and a birth certificate of the widow.
5- Transfer of body remains for inhumation in Morocco
- American death certificate;
- CNIE or the Moroccan passport of the deceased;
- Hermetic beer certificate issued by a funeral home;
- Burial-transit permit;
- Affidavit of Embalming and Shipping Certificate;
- Address and telephone number of the family in Morocco;
- Place of burial in Morocco (cemetery and city);
- Border of entry of the remains;
- Proof of covering repatriation costs (insurance or engagement of the family).

1. Marriage validation (Molhaq / ملحق Ishhad إشهاد )
- Husband and wife are Moroccans.
- Consular registration;
- Birth certificates of both of them;
- American civil marriage certificate (full copy);
- CNIE or passports of both of them;
- Translation of the civil marriage certificate into Arabic;
- Two Muslim male witnesses, with their IDs.
- Mixed marriage
- Consular registration;
- Birth certificate of the Moroccan wife or husband;
- CNIE or passports of the Moroccan wife or husband;
- Birth certificate of the foreign wife or husband;
- ID or passport of the foreign wife or husband;
- Translation into Arabic of the Birth certificate of the foreign wife or husband;
- Act of confirmation or conversion to Islam;
- American civil marriage certificate (full copy);
- Two Muslim male witnesses, with their IDs;
- Act of conversion to Islam
- ID or passport of the applicant;
- Birth certificate.
- Act of recognition of paternity (Istilhaq)
- Consular registration;
- American birth certificate of the child;
- CNIE or passport of the parents;
- Marriage certificate if it exists.
2. Power of attorney for real-estate transactions
- Power of attorney for selling
- Consular registration;
- CNIE or passport (Valid) of the principal;
- Copy of CNIE of the Agent (attorney-in-fact);
- Property certificate (شهادة الملكية)
- Inheritance certificate / Irata (رسم اراثة)
- Power of attorney for Purchasing
- Consular registration;
- CNIE or passport (valid) of the principal;
- Copy of CNIE of the Agent (attorney-in-fact)
- Property certificate (شهادة الملكية) if the property is specified;
- For general power of attorney, property certificate is not needed.
- Power of attorney for donation or sadaqa
- Consular registration;
- CNIE or passport (valid) of the principal;
- Copy of CNIE of the Agent (attorney-in-fact);
- Copy of CNIE of the person receiving the donation ;( الموهوب له أو المتصدق عليه)
- Property certificate (شهادة الملكية)
- Power of attorney to accept donation or sadaqa
- Consular registration;
- CNIE or passport (valid) of the principal
- Copy of CNIE of the Agent (attorney-in-fact)
- Copy of CNIE of the person donor ;(الواهب أو المتصدق)
- Property certificate (شهادة الملكية).
7- Tourist Visa:
US Citizens are not required to get a Visa and can stay in Morocco for up to 90 days.
Foreign residents holding a US visa or a Green Card are subjects to visa requirements for entry into Morocco. to apply for an e-Visa please consult the follwing link:
