The event saw the participation of the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for the Middle East and Africa, Thomas Bruns, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Joshua Harris, officials from influential US think tanks, Moroccan experts from the World Bank and the IMF, as well as private sector actors and representatives from development agencies based in the United States. 
Also present at the event were the President of the United Nations Human Rights Council and Permanent Representative of Morocco in Geneva, Omar Zniber, members of the Moroccan delegation participating in the meetings of the two international financial institutions, as well as parliamentarians and several other civil society actors. 

In his address, Ambassador Youssef Amrani highlighted the economic progress made by the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, making Morocco today a model of resilience and post-crisis management. He particularly emphasized the important role that Moroccan experts from the World Bank and the IMF could play, highlighting the valuable human capital they represent for the Kingdom, which can benefit from their expertise and network in various fields. 
Amrani also discussed the strong and diverse strategic partnership between Morocco and the United States in promoting common ambitions, both bilaterally and multilaterally, citing landmark anniversaries including 25 years of His Majesty King Mohammed VI's reign, 20 years since the Morocco-US Free Trade Agreement, and 20 years of the African Lion Exercise. 
Speaking at the event, Minister Fettah highlighted Morocco's reform momentum, driven by a long-term royal vision, resulting in the ongoing New Development Model. This strategy, the official noted, bolstered by strong institutions and inclusive stakeholder involvement, has led to significant reforms. These include, she added, consolidating the social state foundation through projects like compulsory basic health insurance, benefiting four million people. Fettah also praised the robust partnership between Morocco, the World Bank, and the IMF, supporting development strategies across sectors.
