Visit of His Majesty King Hassan II to the United States (1995)

On March 15, President Bill Clinton's welcomed His Majesty Hassan II in the White House, as he expressed gratitude for the longstanding relationship between the United States and Morocco. Reflecting on His Majesty's influential role in both Moroccan history and international diplomacy, President Clinton highlighted His Majesty's ties to significant historical events, including the Casablanca summit of 1943, where his presence coincided with a turning point in World War II. 
Praising His Majesty's dedication to progress and peace, President Clinton commended the sovereign’s efforts in fostering reconciliation and dialogue in the Middle East, emphasizing his role as a voice of reason and tolerance in a tumultuous region. President Clinton hailed Morocco, under King Hassan II's leadership, as a bridge between cultures, traditions, and faiths, symbolizing hope and cooperation in a world often divided by strife.
