Morocco, Nigeria to Strengthen Cooperation in Energy
Minister of Energy, Mining and Sustainable Development, Aziz Rebbah, held talks Friday in Dakhla with Nigeria’s Minister of State for Power, Works and Housing, Mustapha Baba Shehuri, which focused on the means to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.

Morocco and Nigeria are expected to extend and share their experience and know-how not only in the energy sector, but also in other areas of mutual interest, Shehuri told reporters following the meeting.

"Our two countries have a lot to share for the mutual benefit of our two peoples," said the Nigerian official, who is visiting the Kingdom to attend the Crans Montana Forum.

For his part, Rebbah noted that Morocco and Nigeria would benefit from further developing their bilateral cooperation, noting that there are "tremendous opportunities" between the two countries.

Morocco and Nigeria have launched two strategic projects, namely the pipeline project linking the two countries and cooperation in fertilizers, he said, adding that both countries seek to enhance their cooperation, including between Moroccan and Nigerian private sectors.

The two sides agreed on this occasion to develop relations between the two departments and to exchange visits particularly between their technical teams, Rebbah pointed out.
