Head of Govt. Meets with Speaker of Beninese Parliament
Head of government Saâd Eddine El Othmani examined, on Tuesday in Rabat, with speaker of Benin's national assembly (parliament) Adrien Houngbedji, means and ways to develop bilateral cooperation in the different areas.

The two sides welcomed, on this occasion, the excellent relations of friendship between the two countries, reaffirming their shared will to strive for the reinforcement of this cooperation in the different fields of economic and social development, said a statement by the Head of Government's Office.

El Othmani recalled, in this regard, the initiatives undertaken by the Kingdom of Morocco as part of its African policy under the wise leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, aimed at supporting the development of African sister nations through a strong involvement of the Moroccan public and private sectors in development and training programs, sharing expertise and capacity-building for these African states, the statement added.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation to cover other areas, as well as the preparations under way for the holding of the Morocco-Benin Joint Committee.

Morocco and Benin signed on Monday a cooperation agreement in the parliamentary field between the House of Representatives and the National Assembly of Benin.
