Military Service: Launch of Census Operation for 2022 Year
The census operation of military service for the year 2022 was launched Monday, for the benefit of young people aged between 19 and 25 years on May 16, 2022 and who meet the legal requirements for the performance of service.

This operation, which will run until February 10, 2022, comes in accordance with the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), concerning the adoption of the necessary measures for the integration of the next promotion into the military service, and as part of the preparation of the census operation with a view to the selection and integration of the next promotion.

The military service reflects the royal will to involve all Moroccans, not only in the defense of their homeland and the territorial integrity of the Kingdom against any aggression or threat, but also in the socio-economic development of the country.

The selection operation of the first class of conscripts, as part of the resumption of military service in the Kingdom, has experienced a strong participation of Moroccan youth in the sense that out of the 80,000 conscripts identified during the preliminary stages, 70,701 volunteers, including 24,000 girls, have sent their applications, which prompted to increase the number of the first contingent of 10,000 to 15,000 people.

For the members of the first contingent of 15,362 young men and women, military service was a decisive step in their lives that strengthened their self-confidence, opened new horizons and consolidated their attachment to the identity and constant values of the Nation.

Within the framework of military service, the Royal Armed Forces have demonstrated exemplary management and supervision in all the stages concerning the follow-up of the integration operation of conscripts, men and women. FAR have also made available all the infrastructure, teaching frameworks and pedagogical resources necessary to provide Moroccan youth with applied vocational training, in line with the ambitions of integration into society and building projects and worksites in all responsibility and nationalism.

The military service, according to the dedicated website www.tajnid.ma, will provide young people with technical and vocational training in specialties available in FAR units, which will enable them to acquire new expertise to strengthen their status as actors in society. It is also a valuable opportunity to allow the young recruits to familiarize themselves closely with the various important roles played by FAR in the different military, health and humanitarian fields in Morocco and at the continental and international levels.

The noble objectives of military service are to enshrine the values of citizenship, to reinforce the spirit of belonging to the fatherland, and to provide conscripts with training that offers them opportunities for professional and social integration.

It is indeed an opportunity for young people to acquire quality skills to develop their know-how and professional abilities and facilitate their integration into the job market to contribute to the development of the country.
