The Third Meeting of the U.S Morocco Free Trade Agreement Committee,December 5, 2012 Washington, D.C.

The Joint Committee established by the Free Trade Agreement concluded between the Government of Morocco and the United States of America in 2004, will hold its third meeting at the U.S Trade Representative Office in Washington, D.C, on December 5, 2012.

Chaired by Mr. Abdelkader Amara, Minister of Industry, Commerce and New Technologies and Ambassador Miriam Sapiro, Deputy U.S Trade Representative, the Joint Committee will meet this year to review issues concerning the assessment of the FTA implementation and cooperative efforts to expand trade and investment between the two Countries.

The FTA contributes significantly to the strong bilateral relations between the United States and Morocco and both sides acknowledge the importance of engaging their respective private sectors to take advantage of the agreement.

The Joint Committee meetings are an important aspect of the continued development of cooperation and partnership between the United States and Morocco. This meeting will also be an opportunity to discuss the bilateral action plan.
