The installation of Mrs. Nana Lampton, as the new Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in Kentucky.

On March 18th, the Ambassador Rachad Bouhlal proceeded , in Louisville, in the State of Kentucky to the installation of Mrs. Nana Lampton, as the new Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Morocco in Kentucky.

This new nomination is the continuation of the more beneficial and fruitful relationship as well as the excellent dynamic that characterizes the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States of America.

In his introductory remarks, marked essentially by the presence of the Governor Steve Beshear and his wife, the Lieutenant Governor Jerry Ibramson and the Mayor Greg Fisher, the Ambassador highlighted the long history of friendly relations between our two countries going as far back as to the 18th century as well as the diversified relations which culminates by the launching, on September, 13th 2012 of a Strategic Dialogue.

Ambassador Bouhlal underlined the important role played by our Honorary Consuls in the promotion of the image of Morocco abroad and the diversification of the economic, commercial and cultural ties between our two countries, as well as their actions throughout the United States in paving the way for closer cooperation and deeper understanding, reinforcing, thus our common and shared values of democracy, tolerance and shared prosperity.

Mrs. Lampton, is a well known and much respected person. Her rich experience in business, public relations, education and cultural affairs made her the perfect choice to represent Morocco as Honorary Consul in Kentucky. She is a person able to put her experience and her relations to the service of the promotion of the partnership between the State of Kentucky and many cities and regions of Morocco, and to help build more bridges between our peoples and cultures.
