Gastronomy: Fatema Hal charming Washington

Jointly with Georgetown University and the Embassy of France, this Embassy organized a series of conferences from March 13 to March 15, 2012, by Mrs. Fatema Hal, a well-known Moroccan gastronome and author of several books on Moroccan Cuisine.
Mrs. Hal made a demonstration on how to make a moroccan sweet cookies, namely ‘’Almond Briwat’’; gave two lectures on “France/Morocco: a shared Cuisine” at Georgetown University and: “Morocco on the Route of Spices” at la Maison Française.

Mrs. Hal seduced her public not only by the way she explained the history of the Moroccan cuisine but also by the way she described a variety of spices in her poem.
