Amb. Bouhlal speaks at the 177th annual dinner of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce

Ambassador Bouhlal was invited to speak at the 177th annual dinner of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce, on January 13, 2014 in Wilmington.

The dinner, which is the largest annual gathering of businessmen of Delaware, witnessed the participation of 850 personalities, including Governor Jack Markell, Senator Chris Coons and Senator Tom Carper.

In this context, Amb. Bouhlal recalled the strategic partnership between the United States and the Kingdom of Morocco, and highlighted the economic advantages of Morocco that make it an ideal platform for production, trade and logistics to tackle the markets of Europe, Africa and the Arab World. He also invited the Delaware business community to attend the 2nd Morocco US Business Development Conference that will be in Rabat on March 10-11, 2014.

During his visit to Wilmington, the Ambassador met with Governor Markell to discuss matters related to the promotion of economic, academic and cultural relations between Delaware and Morocco.

The port of Wilmington is the main entry port of Moroccan clementines to the U.S. and Canadian markets. Last October, the Port of Wilmington and export group "Fresh Fruit Morocco" concluded an import agreement of Moroccan clementines for a period of five years.
