To renew your CNIE, to get a duplicate CNIE (in case your card has been lost or stolen), or if you are applying for a cnie for the very first time (at age 12), your presence at the consulate general of the kingdom of morocco is mandatory for a new set of fingerprints.

Please download the form bellow and fill it out (this form is necessary even if you are registred with us & you have the original of your Carte Nationale). In Case you have The expired "Carte d'Identite Nationale" you will need the following:

-Your expired "Carte d'Identite Nationale"
-A copy of the first 3 pages of your passport
-An original birth certificate, issued within the last 6 months, filled out completely on both sides (Arabic and French), and providing the following information:
* Full name of ID applicant
* Full names of ID applicant's parents
* Full names of ID applicant's paternal grandparents
* Full names of ID applicant's maternal grandparents
-An original family book may replace an original birth certificate only in case it is filled out in both Arabic and French, and providing the following information:
* Full name of ID applicant
* Full names of ID applicant's parents
* Full names of ID applicant's paternal grandparents
* Full names of ID applicant's maternal grandparents
-An application form (fiche individuelle de renseignements)
-Four pictures. For specifications Click Here
-A money order in the amount of $10.65 payable to the consulate of morocco
-A copy of your consular card (or an extra $7.10 money order and one picture to have one issued)
- Fees for returning your mail are not included in the fees above. To ensure reception of your cnie, please include a prepaid Express Mail or Priority Mail envelope, obtained from the post office. Please note that this is the only mailing method accepted.

Ps. The CNIE is issued and renewed in Rabat and processing it takes 6 to 8 weeks to be returned to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Washington DC.
