The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco honors the 113th Congress

On the occasion of the 113th Session of Congress, Ambassador Rachad Bouhlal offered inside the US Capitol, a reception honoring Members of Congress.

The reception, which was marked by the strong participation of several Congressmen, was jointly organized by the Embassy of Morocco in Washington, DC and the Co-Chairs of the Morocco Caucus in the Congress.

Ambassador Rachad Bouhlal, at first, presented his condolences to the audience following the tornado that ravaged the state of Oklahoma and thanked the Members of Congress for their presence, which reflects the singularity of the Moroccan American relations and the Congressmen's keen interest in Morocco.

After reviewing important dates that have marked the historical relations between the two countries, Ambassador Bouhlal highlighted the particularity of the Moroccan model under the leadership of His Majesty, King Mohammed VI, in terms of Democratic and Constitutional Reforms, Economic and Social Development.

For his part, Congressman Michael Grimm, Co-President of the Morocco Caucus Group in the Congress, highlighted the excellent relations that exist between the United States and Morocco, adding that the Kingdom is a strategic ally and long time friend of the United States. He also expressed great pride to be the Co-Chairman of the Morocco Caucus, a country with which, the United States maintains the longest relationships in their history.
